German carmaker BMW is celebrating its 100th anniversary. On this occasion, the German automaker shows at its headquarters in Munich developed its concept car Vision Next 100 - representation of the company about what may be cars in the next 100 years. It looks established concept really futuristic.
If you look at the car carefully, you will notice a recognizable feature of all BMW vehicles. Of course, it is a familiar form of the radiator grille. But everything else - beyond reality. That we are accustomed to usually see in some kind of science fiction films. Get at least the windshield, the entire surface of which is a display of augmented reality (will be shown the route of movement, different tips), which, incidentally, is used in virtually every part of the car dashboard. The whole upper part of the dashboard is covered with 800 triangles that BWM calls "living geometry» (Alive Geometry). These multi-colored "zones" are actually performing a very important function - they are the "vehicle control systems by means of the driver's gestures, as well as are some kind of means to attract the driver's attention on what is happening in front of car."
According to BMW, which cars are likely to be, autonomous, but at the same time retain the possibility of manual control if the driver so wishes. If you switch to «Boost» mode car dashboard will be transformed and provide access to the unusual steering wheel. When selecting the «Ease» virtually all ergonomic driving position will change in favor of further comfortable movement. Chairs will change its shape and direction, facilitating the communication process between the driver and passenger, and the windshield can be used for various entertainment multimedia features.
However, perhaps the most ambitious idea, but rather a part of the vehicle, is the so-called system of "the Companion", which BMW describes as "the quintessence of intelligence, connectivity and availability." At its core is the artificial intelligence of the car, which will be capable of learning by monitoring the owner. "With experience» AI will perform instead of the owner of the "daily routine tasks" and "give useful tips." Mode «Companion» will be chosen depending on the order in which it is driving mode at any given moment there is a car. For example, the system will be displayed on the windscreen about bystanders or cyclists, hiding behind parked cars at the curb, which are difficult to see or notice a person, and offer further movement in stand-alone mode to minimize all possible risks of accident
